Bringing The Best of New Music From Around The World
For the unofficial 100th post, unofficial because I was asked to remove probably a dozen or so over the course of the year, I chose the young phenom Jack Sparrow whose effortless dubstep has been bending genres since his first release way back when. His live sets and mixes incorporate elements of house, garage, funky and dubstep yet his productions are mainly garage influenced, deep, dark dubstep. I have been waiting for this to drop for awhile Terminal has been all over the place the past year and its flipside, Torment, is just as hot. Fans of Synkro, Kryptic Minds or Faib big tip.....
If you have not heard of RSD and this track in particular you must have been living under a rock the past few years. Seen on playlists from Joker to Skream to UK Funky crossover king L-Vis 1990, Naked Mariokart has gotten its fair share of play time in clubs all over the world. After a delayed release due to sampling rights, as is often the case with many of these tracks, RSD follows up his success in 2009 with this big drop in the first quarter of 2010. A must have for fans of electronic music in general and dubstep in particular. Massive 12" definitely picking it up on vinyl......BUH BUH BADA BUH BADA DA DA DA DUM!
The living legend steps up for the 31st release from the Hyperdub imprint that dropped earlier this week. Having influence on some of the biggest players in the game: Joker, Guido, Mala and Kode9, Terror Danjah has some of the most unique and pulse pounding sounds out there. His instrumental album Gremlinz came out last year and plays like a greatest hits album from 2003-2009. Though there are many amazing tracks on that compilation, I believe these two tracks are some of his best efforts to date. Both tracks play on the tropical bass swing themes present in both UK Funky and
First and foremost I want to apologize for the lack of posts I have been super super busy with school and work.....Anyways the man of the hour is Fantastic Mr. Fox. He treads on that thin line between broken, bubbling 8-bit beats and pulse pounding dubstep and even crosses ever so slyly into the garage/house/2-step realm . Right now there is not many producers as inventive and dynamic as FMF; definitely a cat to watch for in 2010. With a remix by one of the biggest in the game right now, SBTRKT, and every track standing out in its own right, Sketches is a must have for your collection. Get it proper an amazing release....
